Activity:  Campus Walk


Question: How does movement of water affect the landscape?

Vocabulary: erosion, run-off, ponding

Materials:
notebook
pencil
colored pencils


Procedure:

  • 1.  Students will walk outside around campus (lead them to areas where they can see run-off, erosion in a ditch, erosion of sand, and ponding if available.)
  • 2.  Students sketch what they observe.
